A Doggone Good Day at James Moore!
While our employees love all kinds of animals, dogs seem to hold a special place in our hearts. And so do good causes—which is why we combined the two for Take Your Dog to Work Day!
To coincide with National Service Dog Month (September), we invited our employees to bring their dogs to the office in exchange for a minimum $5 donation to K9s for Warriors. This nonprofit organization trains service dogs for veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury and other traumas as a result of post-9/11 military service.
The event was a huge success, with 15 dogs joining us on the job! The day included a group photo, a walk to Community Bank and Trust (and treats from their kind and welcoming manager, Madeleine Mills!), a Dog Bar with water and treats, and of course plenty of hugs and kisses from our canine companions.
And the best part… we raised over $200 for K9s for Warriors! We’re thrilled to be able to help a group that does such great work for our veterans.
Having our four-legged friends made work a little less “ruff” for the day, and we can’t wait to do it again! In the meantime, enjoy the photos from our special day with these special fur babies.
